The freedom to vote is a nonpartisan issue.
The League works to protect and expand voting rights, hold government accountable and ensure everyone is represented in our democracy. Voters care about many issues from the environment to education to health care and more. The League advocates on issues that promote social and economic justice and ensure the health and safety of all Americans.

Education
The League of Women Voters of the Morris Area believes New Jersey should be a leader in providing the best education system possible for all of our children. This includes supporting a strong public education system.
Social Justice
We center the voices of the communities we serve and seek justice for those most often impacted by systemic racism and oppression in our democracy. From housing to employment to healthcare, we work to make sure everyone can meet their basic human needs.
Immigration
Diverse voices enhance our democracy. The League of Women Voters believes immigration policies should promote reunification of immediate families, meet economic and employment needs, and be responsive to those facing political persecution or humanitarian crises.
We support fair and humane policies that end the crisis at our border, stop the separation of families, and provide a path to citizenship.
Environment
Since the 1960s, we have been at the forefront of efforts to protect air, land and water resources. Our approach to environmental protection and pollution control is one of problem solving. The League’s environmental goals aim to prevent ecological degradation, to reduce and control pollutants, and to protect our water supply.
We support a Green Amendment to combat Climate Change and promote a clean energy economy.
Government
The League works to hold government accountable and transparent. We advocate for fiscal responsibility, open campaign finance, and policies, such as gun control, that promote the safety and welfare of all people.
