PROTECT THE VOTE

With voting rights under assault nationwide, it's critical that we pass the NJ Voter Empowerment Act! It passed the Assembly and the Senate Committee! Contact the NJ Senate to pass the Act.

LWV condemns the US Supreme Court’s dismantling of the Voting Rights Act in the 6-3 decision in Louisiana v. Callais.

Thank the Senate champions who opposed the SAVE Act, which makes it harder to vote.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services bars nonprofits including LWV from registering new voters at naturalization ceremonies.

Educate. Advocate. Empower.

EMPOWERING VOTERS

The League of Women Voters educates and advocates for voters, knowing that the leaders you elect make the decisions that affect YOU. The League helps you register, become informed on the candidates and issues, and to navigate the process of voting. We fight voter suppression and advocate for fair access to voting, including fair redistricting, better ballots, early voting, same day registration, vote by mail, and more.

DEFENDING DEMOCRACY

The League encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

NONPARTISAN

The League is proud to be nonpartisan, neither supporting nor opposing candidates or political parties at any level of government, but always working on vital issues of concern to members and the public.
